The Canadian International Merchandise Trade database offers detailed trade data using the Harmonized System (HS) classification of goods (based on the 6-digit commodity level). Select a trading partner and specific variables (e.g., country, province, state, year, month, or frequency) or search by commodity or Harmonized System code. Export statistics are attributed to the country that is the last known destination of the goods at the time of export. Exports to the United States are attributed to the state of destination. Imports: goods that have entered the country by crossing territorial (customs) boundaries, whether for immediate domestic consumption (following the payment of any duty) or for storage in customs (bonded) warehouses. Duty is not paid at that time. All values are measured in Canadian dollars. Imports and exports forecasts are performed by TrendEconomy experts using mathematical algorithms with seasonal adjustments.
